Southern artist now living in Paonia, CO, Ashley's work is mixed media using acrylic, oil, watercolor, wax, resin and collage. Through line, form and space she investigates the figure beyond traditional rendering and often incorporates animals, birds and floral images in the work. The work seeks to capture the essence, emotion or feeling of the subject / object.

Ashley has a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, studied sculpture at the University of Georgia for a bit. She has shown work in Georgia, California, Texas, Florida and Colorado.

At our March 8, 2011, Membership Meeting Ashley presents an overview of her work over the past several years and talk about materials and her techniques mostly focusing on her use of resin and wax.
